Young Canadiens are ‘fun to watch, an exciting team,’ former coach Michel Therrien says
Near the end of Michel Therrien’s second tenure as Canadiens’ head coach, he looked down his bench and could count on rugged defenceman Shea Weber, sniper Max Pacioretty, and the dependable Carey Price in goal.
But Therrien didn’t have the plethora of talent head coach Martin St. Louis seemingly will have at his disposal when the Canadiens launch their regular season in Toronto on Sept. 29.
“They’re fun to watch, an exciting team and I think they’re going in the right direction,” Therrien told The Gazette recently by telephone. “We can’t forget this is a young team. They’re going to get better. They should be better every year.
