Vegas Golden Knights Set for 15 National Broadcasts This Season – The Hockey Writers – Vegas Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights are set to have plenty of national exposure during the 2026-27 season.

On Wednesday, the NHL and its national television partners announced their schedules for the upcoming season, with the Golden Knights slated to appear in 15 nationally televised games between ESPN, ESPN+, TNT and ABC. The league also announced updated start times for six Vegas games, giving fans a few more dates to mark on their calendars ahead of the Golden Knights’ 10th season.

Vegas will open its 2026-27 campaign on national television when it hosts the Chicago Blackhawks at T-Mobile Arena on Sept. 29. The matchup will be part of ESPN’s opening-night tripleheader and will be the first of 15 national broadcasts featuring the Golden Knights throughout the regular season.

Golden Knights Will Have Plenty of National Exposure

The national schedule features a healthy mix of familiar opponents, Western Conference matchups and some intriguing games against Eastern Conference teams.

After opening the season against Chicago, Vegas will appear on ESPN again on Oct. 20 when the Tampa Bay Lightning visit T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights then have a busy stretch of nationally televised games in November, including matchups against the Utah Mammoth, Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers.

The Nov. 17 meeting with Dallas will air on TNT, while the Nov. 19 rematch will be available on ESPN+. Vegas will then travel to Edmonton for a Nov. 24 matchup with the Oilers on TNT. December brings two more national appearances, with the Golden Knights hosting the San Jose Sharks on Dec. 16 before traveling to Anaheim to face the Ducks on Dec. 22, both on TNT.

Vegas will also face the Minnesota Wild on ESPN on Jan. 7 before hosting Edmonton on TNT on Jan. 20.

Perhaps the biggest national showcase of the regular season will come in February when the Golden Knights travel to Dallas on Feb. 20 for the 2027 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series. The outdoor matchup will be broadcast nationally on ABC, giving Vegas another opportunity to take center stage on one of the league’s biggest regular-season stages.

The Golden Knights will close out their national schedule with games against the Florida Panthers, the New York Rangers, Sharks and St. Louis Blues. The March 7 matchup with the Rangers is particularly intriguing, as former Golden Knights forward Pavel Dorofeyev is scheduled to face Vegas for the first time as a member of New York.

6 Golden Knights Games Receive New Start Times

Along with the national television announcements, the NHL announced several changes to Vegas’ regular-season start times. Six Golden Knights games have been impacted, including three that are also part of the team’s national television schedule.

The updated schedule is as follows:

• Nov. 11 vs. Utah Mammoth: 6:30 p.m. PT
• Dec. 22 at Anaheim Ducks: 6:30 p.m. PT
• Feb. 18 vs. Columbus Blue Jackets: 7 p.m. PT
• March 7 at New York Rangers: 4 p.m. PT
• March 9 vs. San Jose Sharks: 7:30 p.m. PT
• April 6 vs. St. Louis Bluds: 7:30 p.m. PT

The March 7 game in New York represents one of the more notable changes. The game will now begin at 4 p.m. PT, making it an earlier-than-usual start for Vegas fans while also putting the Golden Knights in the national spotlight on ESPN.

The March 9 matchup against San Jose will begin at 7:30 p.m. PT and will air on ESPN+, while the April 6 meeting with St. Louis will also start at 7:30 p.m. PT and air on ESPN.

The 2026-27 campaign already carries extra significance for Vegas as the franchise enters its 10th NHL season. The Golden Knights have quickly become one of the league’s most recognizable franchises, and the national television schedule reflects that status. Fifteen national appearances, including an outdoor Stadium Series game and the team’s season opener, will give Vegas plenty of opportunities to showcase itself to a broader audience.
