The Canadiens players stayed in Montreal.
Or at least, several players from the team stayed in Montreal.
A striking image was captured at the Bell Centre last night and shows that several Canadiens players are making the most of their 2026 offseason in Montreal, following their elimination against the Carolina Hurricanes.
The fact that they chose to stay together here in the city, despite the official end of the season. It’s really great to see, and it says a lot!

Let’s remember that several Canadiens players along with Martin St-Louis were already at Luke Combs’ concert at Parc Jean-Drapeau a few days ago.
And now they’re back at the Bell Centre for another major event in the city.
No, the guys were definitely not in a rush to leave Montreal.
In the past, at this stage of the offseason, the vast majority of players had already left town.
Many players probably would have chosen to return home immediately after the elimination.
Others would have gone on vacation to exotic destinations.
Some might have avoided Montreal altogether to escape media questions, but the majority of the players seem to be staying here for now.
