Train derails in Repentigny – Montreal Gazette
A train derailment occurred late Sunday afternoon in Le Gardeur, a district of Repentigny.
“At this time, we have no information to indicate any injuries. Firefighters and police are on the scene,” Mayor Nicolas Dufour wrote on Facebook at 5:30 p.m., around one hour after the incident.
“We also do not have information suggesting that the train was carrying dangerous goods.”
In a separate post, the City of Repentigny said the incident occurred at Bourg-Neuf Blvd. and Émile-Genest St., and that power was interrupted as a preventive measure.
