Montreal Canadiens fans are already making the Tampa Bay Lightning nervous, and the series has not even started yet.

The popular Bolts Breakdown account sent out a message to its fans this week.

The message is direct: do not sell your tickets to Canadiens fans.

“They are not welcome in our arena.”

They are afraid there will be more Montreal Canadiens fans than Tampa Bay Lightning fans in their own arena.

Habs fans are known for traveling in large numbers, especially in Florida. And the playoffs will only amplify that phenomenon.

Tampa may want to protect the atmosphere in its arena, but that is the kind of battle that is difficult to win when thousands of Quebecers spend the winter in Florida.

We have seen it in the past: Amalie Arena can easily turn into a red wave when the Canadiens are in town.

And with a first-round series beginning Sunday at 5:45 p.m. (according to the rumours), a strong presence of Montreal Canadiens fans in the stands is expected.

Good luck to the Lightning in trying to stop that.
