Foote joins Utah coaching staff — The Fourth Period
Former Vancouver Canucks head coach Adam Foote is returning behind the bench, this time with the Utah Mammoth.
As first reported by Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie and Dhali on CHEK in Vancouver, Foote has signed a contract to join the Mammoth as an assistant coach.
The news comes two days after TFP’s David Pagnotta reported that Mammoth head coach Andre Tourigny has signed a one-year extension and is now under contract with the club through the 2027-28 season.
TFP has also learned that current Utah assistant coach Blaine Forsythe will not be returning to the Mammoth next season, as his contract expires at the end of the month.
Foote, 54, posted a 25-49-8 record in 82 games with the Canucks this past season, which ranked last in the NHL. He spent the previous three seasons as an assistant coach in Vancouver.
