Canadiens’ Target Still A Blue Jacket, But The Door Is Open

Adam, I mean, knowing that Kreider wants to go back east and, and now, you know, looking at what’s going on in Anaheim, you know, where does this leave Anaheim?

But also, where do you see Kreider ending up potentially?
I still think Anaheim has to make one more move because if you’re gonna, like, let’s say that they sign Gauthier for 15 million or 15 and a half, like some people think it’s gonna be more than 16, but let’s just use 15.
They’re gonna have no cap space whatsoever, and you need to have a little bit of like, you can’t really operate very efficiently if you’re pushed against the cap to start the season.
So I think there’s still one more move coming just so that they can free up, you know, a million or $2 million in cap space in case, they need to go out at the deadline and pick up something, like somebody doesn’t work out for whatever reason.

But as for a place that I think Kreider would be really good, I think that the New York Islanders would be an interesting, fit for Kreider.
You know, they have a bunch of younger players coming up.
They need to really get a net front presence.
He’s, he would be back in New York.
It would be, you know, we’ve seen like, players who spend long times with the Rangers or the Islanders switch over, or even the Devils switch over.
So I think that the Islanders would be an interesting, team that Kreider might be able to fit pretty well, especially with, you know, Matthew Schaffer running that power play over there.
