I mean, the way they are operating right now, they’re sort of mimicking what the Boston Bruins did about a decade ago, locking up Bergeron and Marchand and Krejci, all those guys to long-term deals for, you know, and they all took a little bit less.
They’ve locked up Hudson and Slafkovsky and Suzuki and Caufield.
And really, what they’re paying Demidov is around what they paid Hudson, but the cap went up.
So, I mean, this is smart business, and it enables the Canadians to add players like they did with Noah Dobson.

They maybe overpaid Noah Dobson a bit, but because they have that core group locked up, they have the flexibility to be able to do that.
So they’re really doing a great job in terms of managing the salary cap.
