- There are many reasons to be excited about Jacob Fowler’s potential. Not only did he immediately make a positive impact in the AHL, he was excellent during his 15-game audition in the NHL. It remains to be seen whether he’ll start the next season in with the Habs, but there’s no doubt he’s among the most important young players in the organization. - Would you believe that Nick Suzuki provided excellent value to the Habs, despite being one of the highest-paid players in the lineup? While he had the 31st-highest salary cap among all centres in the NHL, he managed to finish fifth in centre scoring. - This won’t come as a surprise to Habs fans, but Cole Caufield is the highest-scoring player in the league over the course of the last two seasons.

- ICYMI: Not only is prospect Alexander Zharovsky among the most talented players in the system, he set a single-season record by scoring 42 points as an 18-year-old in the KHL. With a fantastic D+1 season in the books, Zharovsky was voted as the No.3 prospect by Habs fans, one spot higher than his 2025 ranking. - The Florida Panthers will open training camp in about three weeks and their roster looks mostly set. The Panthers, like most teams, usually have a couple of players who did not sign as free agents during the offseason come to training camp on what is called a professional tryout, or PTO. - The Boston Bruins’ 2026-27 regular season is approaching, with rookie camp and training camp getting underway in less than a month. Over the summer, Don Sweeney set out to add speed and skill, and did so by acquiring JJ Peterka. That was not all the Bruins needed, though. The front office wanted to rectify the lack of a 1C, but that’s a lot easier said than done.
