Canadiens goalie Samuel Montembeault becomes a father
Montreal Canadiens goaltender Samuel Montembeault and his wife, Daryanne, have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Margot.
The couple married in September 2025 and announced they were expecting their first child in February.
Congratulations poured in after Daryanne shared the news of Margot’s arrival on social media.
Montembeault is currently listed as the third goaltender on the Canadiens’ organizational depth chart, behind Jakub Dobes and Jacob Fowler. He was not traded during the offseason and is entering the final year of his three-year, $9.45-million contract.
