The general manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Julien BriseBois, has just announced major news involving Nick Suzuki.

Wednesday noon is approaching, and Nick Suzuki no longer has to wait in silence. Team Canada’s roster for the Olympic Games will be unveiled on December 31.

The announcement is expected at noon, and that’s when everyone will finally see Suzuki’s name in black and white, or not. However, be aware that the verdict has already been delivered (and Nick Suzuki is already aware of it).

In this type of process, players often learn the news before the public. So yes, Suzuki already knows his verdict, even if no one has confirmed it yet on the record.

Julien BriseBois confirms that Nick Suzuki and the other players involved are aware of their Olympic verdict

“Julien Brisebois told reporter François Gagnon that the players who have been selected for Team Canada have already been called ahead of tomorrow’s announcement.

Keep an eye on Suzuki’s post game presser, maybe we’ll get a clue on if he made it or not”

Suzuki is 26 years old, he is the captain of the Montreal Canadiens, and he is signed for eight years at $63M, with a cap hit of $7.875M per season.

Last year, he exploded offensively with 89 points, including 30 goals, a total that officially put him in the Team Canada conversation.

In Montreal, it creates a strange dilemma among fans. On one hand, making Team Canada is a tremendous honor. On the other, the Canadiens need their first-line center at full strength, especially with a race that is often decided by small details.

That’s why everyone will be listening closely to his post-game press conference. Sometimes, a guy can’t completely hide what he’s going through, and in this case, a small clue may already have slipped out.

If his name comes out on Wednesday, it will be huge news in Montreal. If his name isn’t there, the Canadiens will at least have one clear priority: getting their captain back at 100 percent.

It’s shaping up to be interesting. More to come!
