He was originally drafted in the second-round, 53rd overall, by the Flames in the 2015 NHL Draft.
Whitecloud, 29, picked up two goals and five assists for seven points, along with 20 penalty minutes, in 47 games with Vegas this season.
In 368 career NHL regular-season games, all with Vegas, Whitecloud has accumulated 23 goals and 55 assists for 78 points, and 178 penalty minutes.
Wiebe, 22, was drafted in the seventh-round, 209th overall, by Vegas in the 2022 NHL Draft. He is in his third year at the University of North Dakota.
