- The Canadiens will honour defenceman Andrei Markov before the game. He played 990 career games, all with the Habs.
- Montreal has struggled to keep the puck out of the net. They allowed seven goals Saturday against the Avalanche and five last night against the Sens.
- The Jets are without reigning Vézina Trophy winner goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. He’s out following knee surgery.
