Habs Mailbag: Alexandre Texier a good fit at cheap price for Canadiens
Newhook was expected to be out four months after the injury, meaning he won’t return until mid-March and a lot can happen between now and then as far as players returning from injury, other players possibly getting injured and the March 6 NHL trade deadline. But, as of now, I don’t see him replacing Slafkovsky on the line with Kapanen and Demidov, which has become the Canadiens’ best line. Slafkovsky has 8-14-22 totals in the 19 games he has played with Kapanen and Demidov.
