Former Canadiens teammates and 1986 Stanley Cup champions Chris Nilan and Rick Green both went into coaching after their NHL careers ended.

Nilan spent one season as an assistant coach to Jacques Lemaire with the New Jersey Devils and two seasons as head coach of the ECHL’s Chesapeake Icebreakers. He was named the ECHL’s top coach after his first season.

Green spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the New York Islanders, four seasons as an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Kings and four seasons as an assistant coach with the Canadiens.

On this Hockey Inside/Out Show bonus episode, The Gazette’s Stu Cowan asks Nilan and Green one thing they would change if they were head coach of the Canadiens.
