Cowan: Habs’ Juraj Slafkovsky wants to add more Tkachuk to his game
Heading into Tuesday’s game, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Slafkovsky led the Canadiens with 44 hits in 24 games, which had him tied for 87th in the league. Before facing the Canadiens, Tkachuk had only played five games this season because of a thumb injury, but had 18 hits. Last season, Tkachuk had 228 hits in 78 games, while posting 29-26-55 totals. Slafkovsky had 194 hits in 79 games, while posting 18-33-51 totals.
