Canucks present Myers with trade possibility — The Fourth Period
The Vancouver Canucks have generated interest in veteran defenceman Tyler Myers from multiple teams and the team currently has at least one trade offer on the table they like and have presented Myers with.
Myers, who has one more year remaining on his contract after this season, owns a full no-movement clause this season and must sign off on any trade the Canucks attempt to complete. He is being scratched for today’s game for what the team described as “roster management purposes.”
Teams have asked about Myers in the past, including earlier this season, but the veteran blueliner has been reluctant to move for a variety of reasons.
The 36-year-old and his camp are currently considering and evaluating his options, as reported by TFP’s David Pagnotta, and a decision may not be made tonight. The NHL Network’s Kevin Weekes first reported trade talks have picked up surrounding Myers.
