Blues, Sabres finalizing Parayko trade — The Fourth Period
The St. Louis Blues and Buffalo Sabres are putting the finishing touches on a trade that will send veteran defenceman Colton Parayko to the Sabres.
As TFP’s David Pagnotta reported on the “Real Kyper and Bourne” on Sportsnet on Wednesday afternoon, the Sabres are sending 2025 ninth-overall draft pick Radim Mrtka in a package back to St. Louis for Parayko.
Parayko ranks among the Bubble List players on TFP’s Trade Watch List.
The 32-year-old has four more years remaining on his contract after this season and comes with a $6.5 million salary cap hit.
He also owns a full no-trade clause and has to officially sign off on the move and waive his NTC in order to complete this transaction.
