Analyst drops bold statement on Kirby Dach ahead of Canadiens-Jets clash

“I really like what Kirby Dach is doing right now, and the way he finds a way to contribute. It’s not just Suzuki and Caufield — it’s the way Dach is playing, and that’s been the case for several games now. To me, he’s showing that he’s a guy who’s coming along; whether you like it or not, he’s coming off a long injury, it takes time to find your rhythm, but right from the start, he was doing a lot of things to help the team.

So it’s a bit about showing his coach, ‘I’m ready to do whatever… tell me where to go, tell me to turn left, I’ll turn left; tell me to turn right, I’ll turn right.’ Whether it’s physically, on the forecheck, the effort he puts in to plant himself in front of the net, to do all those little things — he wants to contribute, he wants to help. And that’s clear in a lot of what he does on the ice.
