Kaapo Kahkonen recalled from Laval Rocket
MONTREAL – The Canadiens announced on Sunday that goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen has been recalled from the American Hockey League’s Laval Rocket.
Samuel Montembeault will not participate in Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Blues due to illness. As a result, Jakub Dobes will get the start, with Kahkonen serving as the backup.
Kahkonen, 29, has registered six wins through nine AHL games this season.
The Canadiens and Blues are scheduled to face off at 7:00 p.m. at the Bell Centre.
