Stu’s Slapshots: Former Canadien David Savard giving back to community

“The foundation never really had a spokesperson before and we were fortunate our first president was Guy Lafleur,” said Geneviève Paquette, the Canadiens’ vice-president of community engagement and general manager of the Children’s Foundation. “So we kind of had a spokesperson in him, but no official role. So for us, as a foundation, we’re extremely proud and grateful for them to have agreed to be the voice of the foundation for this year. You hear them talk, talking about being a good person, being involved in the community, great parents. They were the perfect fit for the foundation. You can see all the values align. We’re very lucky to have them.
