Montreal security guard briefly lifted by garage door at Bell Centre after Canadiens game
A security guard at the Bell Centre was briefly lifted into the air after after his coat got caught in a garage door mechanism late Wednesday night, but emergency officials say he was not injured.
Urgences-Santé told CityNews that the guard became stuck in the garage door as it opened around 10:30 p.m., shortly after the Montreal Canadiens’ loss to the Washington Capitals.
Paramedics were deployed to the scene along with Montreal firefighters.
The 60-year-old declined to go to hospital and signed a refusal of transport. Urgences-Santé says no injuries were reported.
Several Habs players witnessed the incident, which happened at the entrance to the players’ indoor parking area on Sainte-Antoine St.
