Montreal Canadiens recall F Florian Xhekaj, loan Joshua Roy to AHL
The Montreal Canadiens have recalled forward Florian Xhekaj from the Laval Rocket of the AHL, the team announced on Friday.
The club loaned forward Joshua Roy to Laval in a corresponding move.

Xhekaj, 21, receives his first call-up to the National Hockey League. He has played 16 games for the Rocket this season, scoring two goals and two assists while tallying 44 penalty minutes.
The Hamilton, Ont., native scored 24 goals and 35 points in 69 AHL games last season.
Florian is the younger brother of Canadiens’ defenceman Arber Xhekaj.
The Canadiens are mired in a five-game winless streak and sit sixth in the Atlantic Division.
