Montreal Victoire set 2025-26 season-opening roster

The Montreal Victoire get their season underway on Sunday afternoon, and on Thursday they announced their 23 player active roster and three reserve players that will start the season as they seek their first Walter Cup.

The team made their final cuts: Forward Audrey-Anne Veillette and goaltender Tricia Deguire. The team then added Claire Vekich, Tamara Giaquinto, and Maya Labad to the reserve roster, who will serve as replacements if anything happens to the players on the active roster.

The team will start the season with 13 players, seven defenders, and three goaltenders. The PWHL mandated that all eight teams need to have three goaltenders on the active roster, who will serve as a makeshift emergency back up during games. Lina Ljungblom will start the season on Long-Term Injured Reserve after missing training camp with an illness. Kelly-Ann Nadeau was signed to a standard contract to replace her on the roster.

Megan Warrener, Natálie Mlýnková, and Skylar Irving were signed to one-year contracts.

There are nine new players on this year’s edition of the Victoire, plus all three reserve players.
