Former Canadiens Player Is Dad For A Second Time

A former Montreal Canadiens forward has a new family member.

Former Montreal Canadiens winger Brendan Gallagher has announced in a joint Instagram post with his wife, Emma Fortin, that their second child has been born.

Gallagher and his wife have named their new daughter Ella.

The Gallaghers are welcoming Ella to this world ahead of a big change in Brendan’s career. Gallagher is gearing up for his first season with the Vancouver Canucks, as the Canadiens traded him there earlier this summer. This was after Gallagher spent each of his first 14 NHL seasons as a member of the Habs.

This is a very exciting time for Gallagher and his family, and it is hard not to feel happy for the longtime Hab.

In 911 games with the Canadiens from 2012-13 to 2025-26, Gallagher recorded 246 goals, 241 assists, 487 points, 882 hits, and a plus-26 rating.
