Habs Stars to Join Alex Newhook for Golf Classic Fundraiser in St. John’s

Some star players with the Montreal Canadiens will be in the province next month for the annual Alex Newhook and Friends Golf Classic.

Now in its third year, the fundraiser supports a number of local charities.

Last year’s event raised over $120,000. The funds were split up between the REAL Program in St. John’s, the Cancer Care Foundation, Iris Kirby House, and KidSport.

A number of Habs stars are already confirmed for this year’s event, including goaltender Jakub Dobes, Arber Xhekaj and his brother Florian, Kaiden Guhle, and Jayden Struble.

A fan fest is scheduled for August 3rd, with the golf tournament on the following day.
