Devils trade Markstrom to Panthers — The Fourth Period
The New Jersey Devils have agreed to trade goaltender Jacob Markstrom to the Florida Panthers, TFP has learned.
The addition of Markstrom signals the end of Sergei Bobrovsky’s tenure in South Florida, as he will be looking for a new team via free agency tomorrow.
Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman first reported the Panthers are sending forward Evan Rodrigues back to the Devils as part of this trade.
Along with Rodrigues, forward Jesper Boqvist and restricted free agent Ben Steevevs are also going to New Jersey, while winger Angus Crookshank is heading to the Panthers.
