We just received an important statement from Jeff Gorton.
The organization itself confirmed it.
Pascal Vincent had been leading the Canadiens’ AHL affiliate for the past few seasons.
The executive vice president of hockey operations took a moment to acknowledge him.
Jeff Gorton issued an official statement following his departure.
“We would like to sincerely thank Pascal for his work and contribution to the Rocket and wish him all the best in his next professional chapter in Seattle,” said Gorton
The executive highlighted Vincent’s impact.
“He was highly committed to our success and made valuable contributions over the past several years,” he added.
Gorton also emphasized Vincent’s popularity.
A native of Laval, Pascal Vincent was appreciated and respected by the players, his colleagues, and all the fans.
Replacing Pascal Vincent will be one of the Canadiens’ most important development decisions
The role goes far beyond simply managing a farm team.
It is in Laval where the Canadiens’ young players refine their game before reaching the NHL.
Vincent’s successor will therefore inherit a major responsibility.
He will be tasked with overseeing the organization’s most promising prospects.
The Canadiens indicated that they would not provide any further comment at this time.
The full statement can be seen here:
It remains to be seen who will take over the Rocket next season.
