The Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs reportedly agreed to a trade involving Matthew Knies.
It is a major revelation that surfaced on the day of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.
And it is certainly generating plenty of discussion.
The two clubs reportedly had indeed reached an agreement in principle.
But something caused the deal to unravel before it became official.

It remains to be seen whether the two clubs will ever revisit those discussions.
What another major story today!
