We have an important development out of Brossard involving the Montreal Canadiens.
In preparation for Game 3 on Friday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Bell Centre, three key Canadiens players were forced to miss today’s mandatory morning practice.
The only full practice of the week!
For those hoping for Noah Dobson’s early comeback, that possibility can now be ruled out.
As for Josh Anderson and Mike Matheson, they both clearly appear to be dealing with issues.
These are now two situations to monitor closely in the coming minutes, especially during head coach Martin St-Louis’ media availability later today.
At this time, there is absolutely no reason to be concerned about Matheson and/or Anderson potentially missing Friday night’s game, but these are still situations worth watching closely.
The real concern would be seeing a Josh Anderson at 60% or a Mike Matheson not at full strength which would be far from ideal for Game 3.
We’re very eager to hear what Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St-Louis will have to say about this in the next few minutes when he meets with the media.
