Canucks deny Predators request to interview Johnson — The Fourth Period
As reported earlier in the week, the Predators have been eyeing the likes of Florida Panthers assistant GM Brett Peterson, Dallas Stars assistant GM Scott White, Hurricanes assistant GM Darren Yorke and Edmonton Oilers assistant GM Bill Scott, Toronto Maple Leafs assistant GM Brandon Pridham, former Oilers and Boston Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli, and former Montreal Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin, among others.
Former Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving, who was let go last week, and former New Jersey Devils GM Tom Fitzgerald, who was fired on Monday, may also be under consideration for the position in Nashville.
Reports out of Vancouver suggest the Canucks may make a GM change of their own and could elevate Johnson to a higher position in the organization, possibly GM.
