Alexandre Carrier got a four-minute high-sticking penalty just 25 seconds into the first period and Pavel Zacha scored on the ensuing power play.

Captain Nick Suzuki tied it up for the Habs at 10:31 of the first period. His 24th of the season.

In the second period, Lane Hutson let Zacha skate by him to Jakub Dobes’ net, and he redirected the puck home for a 2-1 Bruins lead.

The Canadiens once again drew even. This time Josh Anderson tipped in the Hutson point shot to make it 2-2.

In overtime, Caufield reached the 40-goal plateau for the 3-2 game-winner.
