Maatta, 31, picked up one assist in 22 games with the Mammoth this season.
In 783 career NHL regular-season games, to date, with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks, Los Angeles Kings, Detroit Red Wings and Utah, Maatta has accumulated 42 goals and 154 assists for 196 points.
He was originally drafted 22nd overall by the Penguins in the 2012 NHL Draft.
