2026 NHL Trade Deadline open thread

The NHL’s 23-player roster limit has lifted as of 12 AM this morning, and teams only have a few more hours to add players to their rosters before the trade deadline hits at 3 PM ET. There are some very competitive races in the league this year, especially in the Eastern Conference, so several teams have already made moves trying to land players before other clubs snagged them, with Thursday being a busy day of transactions.
Now the landscape has changed, and several teams hoping to make the playoffs have seen what their rivals have done and may be desperately trying to make a move themselves. With fewer rentals now available, the prices could be high as final negotiations take place.
