Stars acquire Myers from Canucks — The Fourth Period

The Dallas Stars have acquired defenceman Tyler Myers from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a 2027 second-round draft pick and a 2029 fourth-round draft pick.

The Canucks are also retaining 50 percent of Myers’ contract.

Myers, 36, tallied one goal and seven assists for eight points in 57 games with the Canucks this season.

Over 1,123 career NHL regular-season games with the Buffalo Sabres, Winnipeg Jets and Canucks, the Houston native has accumulated 100 goals and 303 assists for 403 points, along with 901 penalty minutes.

Myers, who ranked 11th on TFP’s Trade Watch List, was originally drafted 12th overall by the Sabres in the 2008 NHL Draft.
