- The Canadiens are 1-0-1 coming out of the Winter Olympic break, following a 4-3 overtime loss to the New York Islanders and a 6-2 win over the Washington Capitals.
- Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki teamed up for five points against the Caps on Saturday. Linemate Kirby Dach is also heating up with six points in his last six games.
- Forwards Joe Veleno and Alexandre Texier, along with defenceman Arber Xhekaj, are healthy scratches.
