Two Canadiens players will be coming home from Olympics with a medal
“In 2006, I wasn’t so much in awe,” St. Louis added. “I think I had found my place in the league and I was used to not being an underdog anymore. So for Suzy, I’m sure there’s still a moment of, ‘Wow! I’m here.’ But I feel like everything that Suzy’s done, he’s played world juniors and he’s played in a lot of these things that I feel like if you ask Nick, I think Nick expects himself to be there in these things. He’s progressing, he’s been on that path of being one of those guys who’s there now. We’re very proud of him, but I can’t relate to how he feels because I never had that same path, road at a young age. So probably for me, I probably had a moment of awe just because of my path vs. Suzy. But the accomplishment of being there is amazing, whether your path was mine or Suzy’s. Just to take the Olympics all in and just being there and being around the athletes, it’s such an unbelievable experience and I wish him nothing but the best.”
