Rangers, Islanders working on Soucy trade — The Fourth Period
The New York Rangers and New York Islanders appear to be in negotiations on a trade that would send defenceman Carson Soucy to Long Island.
Soucy, 31, is in the final year of his current contract and is set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1.
The Rangers have several players they are talking to other teams about, including forwards Artemi Panarin and Vincent Trocheck, but it seems like Soucy is the first to be moved after the team revealed two Fridays ago that they are entering into a retool.
